Know what's at home. And what needs replacing.
A reminder before anything expires – and your whole cabinet at a glance: how much there is, where it is, whose it is and how long it keeps. Plus a shopping list for what’s missing.

Your medicine cabinet – under control
RefillFox reminds you of expiry dates in good time – and knows your whole medicine cabinet: at any moment you see what’s there, how much, where it is and how long it keeps.
Medicines have an expiry date – and it is easy to miss.

Keeping your medicine cabinet in order is easier than it sounds.
A reminder before anything expires – and your whole cabinet at a glance: how much there is, where it is, whose it is and how long it keeps. Plus a shopping list for what’s missing.

Your customers keep track of their medicine cabinet – and reserve refills with you instead of a mail-order pharmacy. You confirm every reservation yourself.

Record the first-aid stock of practices, nurseries, schools and businesses, document inspections and reorder in time.

What is in your medicine cabinet is nobody’s business but yours.
No account and no cloud for a family’s medicine cabinet.
A pharmacy sees only the reservation you send yourself.
No advertising, no commissions, no paid places in the list.
Free for families – always.
One cabinet, one kitchen drawer, one travel bag and four people – all in one overview. At any moment you see what’s there, how much, where it is and how long it keeps.
Scan the barcode or DataMatrix code: the app reads the German product number (PZN) and, from the DataMatrix code, the expiry date and batch as well. It recognises the name from the pack – you confirm it. You enter the quantity yourself.
“Do we still have ibuprofen?” The answer comes only from your stock: whether it is there, how much, where it is and how long it keeps – for one family member or one place, too, if you ask. The app searches by name, active ingredient or dosage form – never by symptom, and it recommends nothing. If something is missing, the shopping list takes it.
Printed date and period after opening – the app uses whichever is earlier. You enter the period after opening as stated in the package leaflet; the app only suggests a starting value, which you can change.
Whose is it? Where is it? Profiles for every family member and locations down to the drawer – “Bathroom · top shelf”. The medicine cabinet is stored on one iPhone; syncing between several devices is not currently possible.
Whatever runs low lands on the list. Once it is bought, one tap is enough: the form for your cabinet is already filled in – same product, same place. For a trip you pick from your stock – and see what expires while you are away.
The first pharmacy whose QR code you scan becomes your default. Every “running low” notice ends with one button: reserve there. No “My pharmacy” yet? Reserve at a partner pharmacy nearby. You can switch any time.
Based on the ABDA checklist of German pharmacists, with additions for your children’s ages. The app recognises what is already there – anything expired counts as missing. Put what is missing on the shopping list with one tap, or reserve it at “My pharmacy”. This works even before your first scan: “The minimum for every home” shows what both German pharmacists (ABDA) and the Federal Office of Civil Protection (BBK) recommend – you just tick off what you already have. A reminder every year on 1 March , which you can turn off. The list names kinds of remedies, never products or doses.
“Ask RefillFox” or “What expires soon in RefillFox” – Siri answers from your stock, just like the Ask tab. Widgets on the Home Screen and Lock Screen show what has expired, expires soon or runs low: numbers only, never names. One tap opens the matching list.
When “My pharmacy” is closed, the app’s start screen leads to the emergency-pharmacy finder on aponet.de. By phone: 0800 00 22 8 33 (free from a landline) or 22 8 33 from a mobile (charged). Plus the emergency numbers: 112, on-call doctor 116 117, Bavarian poison centre 089 19240.
For every medicine, one tap opens the official, free leaflet search “Gebrauchsinformation 4.0” by Rote Liste Service GmbH. The product number (PZN) is already copied – you just paste it in. Not every manufacturer takes part yet.
Your whole cabinet as a CSV file for Excel or Numbers – for example to go through it with your pharmacy. The file is created on your iPhone, and only you decide who gets it.
The app speaks German, English and Russian and follows your iPhone’s language. “Ask your cabinet” understands questions in all three. Whatever you reserve from the check-up always reaches the pharmacy in German.

Comparison based on public app descriptions, September 2026.
No. The app works right after installation. There is no registration and no login.
Ask in the Ask tab – for example “Do we still have ibuprofen?” – or search your cabinet by name, active ingredient or dosage form. You see at once whether it is there, how much, where it is, whom it is entered for and how long it keeps. The answer comes only from your own stock; the app never searches by symptom and recommends nothing.
No. Your pharmacy only sees the reservations you send yourself. The contents of your cabinet never leave your device.
No. The ABDA checklist names kinds of remedies – such as “something for pain and fever” – never a product and never a dose. What suits your family is a question for your pharmacy.
The app is available for the iPhone.
German, English and Russian. The app follows your iPhone’s language; in the iOS Settings you can also choose a separate language just for RefillFox. “Ask your cabinet” and the Siri commands work in all three languages.
No. Free for families – always. The service is paid for by practices and organisations that use it to keep track of their emergency kits and first-aid supplies, and by pharmacies for their place as the ordering pharmacy. No ads, no selling of data.
A medicine cabinet is health information. So the rule is simple: it stays with you.
You get reservations and orders from organisations. You never get the contents of a customer’s cabinet. That is what lets you recommend the app at the counter.
No account, no cloud by default, no analytics trackers. While your iPhone is locked, iOS keeps the data encrypted. Export as a file, “Delete everything” with one tap. Data from your cabinet leaves your iPhone only when you explicitly release it: your reservations and – once, anonymously, with no name, device ID or medicines – the numbers of your first check (such as how many expired packs you sorted out).
If you wish, RefillFox opens only with Face ID. The lock then covers everything – including open windows such as a half-filled form or a reservation, and the preview in the app switcher.
Widgets show numbers only – expired, expiring soon, running low – never the name of a medicine, because anyone can see a Lock Screen. Siri answers only on an unlocked iPhone; with the app lock on, Siri names no medicines and points you to the app.
Only the reservation you send: medicine, quantity, pick-up.
Reservations leave your iPhone only with your explicit consent. You can withdraw it at any time under Settings → Privacy: the server records the withdrawal at once and for good, and accepts no reservation without new consent. If you are offline, the app sends the withdrawal as soon as your iPhone is back online.
Which medicines the app shows depends only on what you have at home. You can reserve at partner pharmacies; they are ordered by service – confirmation in the app, pick-up today, response time, distance – never by payment.
The app does not diagnose, does not recommend taking anything and never states a dose – the check-up, too, names only kinds of remedies. For every medicine it links the official leaflet search – and your pharmacy.
Prescription medicines are managed like any other – but never promoted, never tied to incentives. Germany’s drug-advertising law (HWG) applies, and we follow it.
RefillFox is an independent company. No mail-order pharmacy, no manufacturer and no pharmacy chain has a stake in it.
For pharmacies
RefillFox reminds your customers of the medicines they need and sends reservation requests to the pharmacy they choose – with no commission on the order.
30 minutes: we show you the app and the pharmacy portal.
The QR code on the receipt or the counter display makes you “My pharmacy”. The expiry reminder arrives exactly when something is needed – and leads to you.
22,7 %of non-prescription packs are already bought online (ABDA, “Zahlen, Daten, Fakten 2025”)
Reservations from families and orders from practices, daycare centres and companies arrive in your pharmacy portal – a simple web interface. You confirm – the customer is notified.
The offer for practices and organisationsNo percentage on orders, no paid places in the list. No connection to your till or inventory system.
See pricesFour steps – from your QR code to a reservation request in your portal.
One scan at the counter or from the receipt – and you are the family’s “My pharmacy” or the ordering pharmacy of the practice, daycare centre or company.
The family’s medicine cabinet, the practice’s emergency kit, the first-aid kits of a daycare centre or company – with expiry dates and storage place.
Before the expiry date is reached, the app sends the reminder – not the pharmacy. No newsletters, no advertising.
The button in the reminder leads to you. The request lands in your pharmacy portal – you confirm.
How an expiry reminder brings customers to your pharmacy – from the medicine cabinet to the confirmation in the portal.
Reservations arrive in your pharmacy portal – a simple web interface, also on a tablet at the till. No connection to your till or stock system.
| Medicine | Quantity | Handover | Received | Status |

| Nasal spray | 1 pack | Pick-up tomorrow | 25 min ago | Prepare |
| Ibuprofen 400 mg | 2 packs | Pick-up | yesterday | Ready for collection |
You only see what a family reserves – never the contents of its medicine cabinet.
Every request in one click. Nothing counts as reserved until you have confirmed.
As soon as you mark “ready for pick-up”, the customer gets a message on their phone. Unanswered requests expire after 24 hours, ready ones after 72 hours.
Staff with their own logins and roles, your QR codes for receipt, stickers and stand, plus the weekly report on scans and reservations.
If you wish, every request also comes as an e-mail with the buttons “Confirm” and “Not in stock” – no login needed.
An ordering system waits until the customer thinks of it. RefillFox starts with what they have at home.
How often customers reserve is up to them – RefillFox promises no revenue, only the shortest way back to your pharmacy.
Families can reserve – and practices, daycare centres and companies can order – only at Partner pharmacies. If your pharmacy is not one, it does not appear in the app at all.
If the neighbouring pharmacy’s QR code gets there first, the reminders lead there.
The app suggests partner pharmacies nearby – by service and distance, not by payment.
Without a subscription a pharmacy appears neither under “Pharmacies nearby” nor in the lists for reservations and orders.
The order of pharmacies depends on service – confirmation in the app, pick-up today, response time, distance – and never on payment. How we rank pharmacies
One fixed monthly fee. Everything included – nothing on top.
For the first 100 pharmacies in Bavaria
12-month term, then cancellable monthly.
Without a subscription, a pharmacy does not appear in the app – neither under “Pharmacies nearby” nor in reservation lists.
All prices plus VAT. Reservations can only be made at Partner pharmacies; their order depends on service – confirmation in the app, pick-up today, response time, distance – never on payment.
A fixed monthly fee with no share of revenue or prescriptions. On the remuneration of pharmacy platforms, see BGH, judgment of 20 Feb 2025, I ZR 46/24.
No. You print our QR code in the footer of your receipt – a setting in your pharmacy management system – and place the counter stand at the till. RefillFox is not connected to your till or your pharmacy management system.
The family scans its packs itself. The QR code on your receipt opens the app and sets your pharmacy as “My pharmacy”; it does not transfer any purchases.
You do not need a shop. Reservations arrive in your pharmacy portal – a simple web interface that also works on a tablet at the till – or by email with the buttons “Confirm” and “Not in stock”.
No, and that is deliberate. You see only the reservations a family sends. That way you can recommend the app without anyone asking what you do with the data.
No. Only Partner pharmacies accept reservations and orders from organisations. Without a subscription, a pharmacy does not appear in the app.
No. Orders from practices and organisations are included in every plan, as are invitation codes for daycare centres, schools, businesses and clubs. There are no codes for practices: practices receive no benefits from pharmacies via RefillFox (§§ 299a, 299b StGB). No commission, no fee per order; RefillFox is not involved in billing.
They are managed in the app, but there is no advertising, no incentives and no success-based commission. The HWG applies in full. If a family reserves something prescription-only, the app reminds them to bring the prescription when they pick it up.
It can. The family chooses “My pharmacy” itself – when scanning your QR code, with a tap on “Save as my pharmacy”. The family can always see which pharmacy is set and can change it in the app.
30 minutes, no sales pitch: we show you the app and the pharmacy portal and run through your numbers together.

Your practice decides what goes in: the template is empty, with sections for medicines, IV access/infusion, airway/ventilation, diagnostics, dressings and other items. RefillFox neither suggests nor assesses the contents.
The DataMatrix code on the pack gives the PZN, expiry date and batch number – without a code, you type them in. You set the prescription-only flag yourself.
Preset: check the medicines’ shelf life every 3 months and the whole contents once a year – as in the Virchowbund’s
Every inspection with result, name and time – as a PDF per emergency kit, location or period, for emergency management under the G-BA quality-management guideline (QM-Richtlinie). RefillFox helps you carry out and document inspections; responsibility for the emergency equipment stays with the practice.
One tap sends the list of missing and soon-to-expire items to your ordering pharmacy. Prescription-only items are marked “prescription required”: the pharmacy dispenses them only against a prescription. You issue the prescription and hand it to the pharmacy as before – the app does not transmit prescriptions.
As an employer, the practice also keeps first-aid kits to DIN 13157 or DIN 13169; the AED with electrodes and battery belongs in the overview too. Typically that is 3 to 4 first-aid points – Start (€99 a year, less than €0.30 a day) or Team.
First-aid kit to DIN 13157 (small) or DIN 13169 (large), vehicle kit to DIN 13164, daycare outing bag, AED, eyewash bottle or your own template – each with its place (“ground-floor kitchen”, “warehouse 2”) and a responsible person.
Quick mode: just the earliest expiry date in the kit; detailed mode: every item with quantity and date – typed in or scanned from the pack. Reminders 90, 30 and 7 days before expiry go to the responsible person; you set the inspection rhythm. Admins get a weekly summary by email.
Checklist: complete, sterile packaging intact, nothing expired, refilled after use. Result “OK” or “defects”, with name and time. The inspection log as a PDF – per first-aid point, location or period.
Whoever takes something from the kit reports only material and quantity – no names, no details of the injury. So it is clear what needs refilling.
One tap sends the list of missing and soon-to-expire items to your ordering pharmacy. The pharmacy invoices the supplies directly to you. If your pharmacy is not on RefillFox yet, invite it from the app.
